Record the supply rate and supplier name on your current bill before comparing. Standard Service is the default supply option, but you may already have a third-party contract. Compare a new offer with both your actual price and the default rate, using the effective dates for each.
Separate supply from delivery
Connecticut’s Office of Consumer Counsel explains the distinction in its electricity supplier guide. Eversource continues to deliver electricity for its customers regardless of which eligible company supplies it. Switching supply does not remove delivery charges or change your outage contact.
